Farmer Hans Oil on kitenge, (African fabric) on wood panel 30" x 30" The Tanzanian economy is heavily based on agriculture and accounts for half of the employed workforce. Hans was one of the most humble and hardest working person I met while there. He was up before sunrise to tend to his crops and would not be back until after sunset.
